Yes folks, Mastertronic's 180 is a gaming masterpiece if there is such a thing. Amazing value, miss it at your peril.
ZX SpectrumYour Sinclair (Jan, 1987)
180 is, quite simply, the best pound for pound darts simulation you'll ever lay your mitts on. And if the noble art of pint pots and fag ends isn't your cup of tea, fear not, this stands up as a Speccy game in its own right, requiring the kind of hand to eye co-ordination any arcade adept would be proud to exhibit.
Amstrad CPCAmtix! (Jan, 1987)
This has to be one of my all time fave budget games. The game play is superb but that is not to say that it is easy, in fact quite the opposite. The level of difficulty has been set so as to keep you coming back for more without discouraging you. Winning is always so satisfying. The graphics and animation are excellent and there's a nice tune to match. So take the oche, it's well worth your dosh!
Atari 8-bitRetro Game Reviews (Jul 07, 2015)
While 180 doesn't have much replay value it's incredibly playable and controls perfectly. It has lots of personality and charm and I love that it doesn't take itself too seriously like many other games in the genre.

M.A.D. have certainly stuck their necks out here, and have produced what now stands as the best darts game on the 64, the graphics are quite nice and there's some good effects. Darts is a strange game to play on the computer, but you'll find it makes a lot less holes in the living room wall. And this game's a real bonus for those of you lousy at sums. Do your parents a favour - buy it.
Commodore 64Zzap! (Dec, 1986)
This is exactly what a darts game should be: great fun with a lot of excitement thrown in for good measure. The sound is good, especially the soft thud as a dart lands in the board. The digitised speech announcing 'one hundred and eighty' isn't too bad either. The choice of three variations on a game of darts is good, and the two player mode comes in handy for an alternative practise mode. I like '180' immensely and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who fancies a quick game of arrows.

Most of the attempts at darts games released so far have been fairly poor and 180 is certainly the pick of the bunch for whiling those long hours when the pub is closed.

Atari STThe Games Machine (UK) (Sep, 1988)
Unfortunately there are no skill levels, but although gameplay remains ultimately repetitive, the lack of disk access on the ST makes it more enjoyable to play.
Atari STST Action (Sep, 1988)
Darts if a bit of a daft theme for mass simulation, but Mastertronic have executed it very well. The game moves along at a brisk pace and so there is no waiting around to throw your arrows and the difficulty of aiming the darts at the board has been well represented. Finally, the larger-than-life northern announcer is a nice comical touch - this is a slickly presented package!

A good game of darts, but the Spectrum version made better use of the machine.
Commodore 64Happy Computer (1987)
This A8 version of the game is clearly ported from the Spectrum version as it uses the exact same yellow coloured monochrome graphics throughout. They have added a nice little tune to the title screen but apart from that it's exactly the same game. 180! is fun for a while but will soon become tiresome, especially when you are playing on your own, and doesn't really offer any long term playability.
Mir persönlich gefällt die MSX-Fassung sogar etwas besser als beim kleinen Atari. Was soll‘s, jedenfalls können sich die Besitzer dieser Systeme mal wieder über was Neues freuen.
