ArcadeAll Game Guide (1998)
In the end, Ragnagard is an unfortunate "could have been" game. With more polish on the CG characters, the graphics could have been exceptional. With better balancing, it could have been more enjoyable to play versus humans. With more skill and less emphasis on mashing, it could have appealed to more skilled fighter gamers. As it is, Ragnagard is just a mediocre gaming experience.

I found that Ragnagard was hard to play, sluggish and easy to not enjoy.
