All the scenarios are based on the premise of global disaster, they are:
Energy for a New Beginning: Geocore, a new power plant that will service all Europe, the Middle East and North Africa is being built in Spain, the task is to ensure the rail supply network works.
Elbow Room: the Mediterranean has been drained and is being developed, plus Geocore needs supplies.
Hell & High Water: the anarchist group People Against Humanity destroy the Geocore power plant which destroys large parts of Spain and creates a deep gas-spewing chasm. The objective is to haul trainloads of cement to Madrid to plug the fissure and prevent the gasses from triggering a global warming climate change
Island of Hope: rising sea water has left south and central Africa as an island with a huge growing population and limited food. The task is to improve food distribution with a limited amount of steel for track laying.
Remember America: following the Great Flood the USA is no more and the transport infrastructure has collapsed. Starting in 'The Troubled Lands' the player must take advantage of the chaos and build an empire.
Antarctica Rising: the ice caps have all but melted and Antarctica is ready to be exploited, the aim being to dominate the new continent and eradicate all competitors.
Each scenario can be played in Easy, Normal, Hard or Sandbox modes. All apart from Sandbox start with a low resolution video montage which runs while the narrator sets the scene and each mode has bronze, silver and gold targets.
