Roogoo is a falling blocks puzzle game. Unlike many others in the genre, however, Roogoo is three-dimensional. The levels consist of round floating platforms with shaped holes in them. Your objective is to spin the platforms so that the shaped falling blocks can pass through the holes and reach the bottom platform. It may sound almost too simple on paper, but across the 45 puzzle-solving levels the game keeps throwing new challenges at the player, including varied amount of blocks needed to pass through the holes, butterflies playing with blocks you’ve already placed, nasty little creatures sitting on some of the holes – and more.
The game is set on Planet Roo and the player is one of the few not under the influence of the evil King Goo. He steals meteors from the sky and uses their power to build cities. His greed affects the inhabitants and they turn from Roogoos into wicked Meemoos. The player has to prevent the remaining meteors from being collected and all Meemoos have to be turned back to their original state.
Roogoo also supports multiplayer up to four players in co-op mode, or two-player competitive mode over Xbox Live and in split-screen on Windows. In the latter players are attempting to solve the very same puzzle while building distracting attacks slowing the other player down.
