Scooby-Doo: The Movie - Interactive ROM Challenges

Moby ID: 128213

Description

Scooby-Doo The Movie: Interactive ROM Challenges is a collection of activities and mini games found on one of the UK releases of that film. These games are not available when the DVD is played via a standard DVD player.

When first inserted into the computer's DVD drive the autorun feature installs InterActual Player software through which the player can watch the movie and access interactive features one of which is a collection of mini games. All the action takes place in either in a window or full screen, if played in a window then a floating DVD control bar is always present hovering below the screen.

The Special Features screen contains the following options;* Groovy Fun: A collection of six mini games; + Belch In Tune!: This is a music game in which the player uses a mouse to place empty soda cans onto a music scale. Each bar is associated with a different belching sound. When they are done the composer can play their creation, however it cannot be saved. + Noggin' Nabber: a game based on an arcade claw/crane machine + Scooby Snack Match: A simple memory game using food items. When replayed the items are in a different position + DooTown: This appears to be based on the skateboard sequence from the end of the film + Spooky Smorgasbord: As food rains from above the player moves Scooby-Doo across the bottom of the screen. Points are scored for each piece caught and points are lost for each piece missed. Moving too fast causes Scooby-Doo to lose pieces. + Spooky Groove-a-Doo: Fred is in disguise and to go unnoticed he must continue to dance like a cool dude, this game is keyboard controlled

  • Printables: There are two things to print a sandwich container and a model of the Mystery Machine, each printable opens a separate print window. Once the print has been completed the player cuts out the final shape and sticks the marked tabs to complete the construction.
  • Rarades: Scooby has lost his voice and so cannot speak. Through a series of mime and picture clues he tries to convey a message.
  • Video Features: This attempts to take the player onto the internet to a Warner Brothers website, unfortunately in 2019 this feature is non functional
  • Downloads: This option takes the player on-line to download a screensaver and/or a Midnight Snacks Themepack

An unusual feature of the Special Features option on this DVD is that it supports voice navigation and checks for the presence of a microphone on entry
