Doom

aka: DOOM95, Doom: Evil Unleashed
Moby ID: 1068

SEGA 32X version

The first real Doom in a cartridge.

The Good
It was a real Doom in a cartridge for a console. Unlike the slower SNES version this played like the real version. All you needed was a Genesis and 32x and not a $1500.00 computer.

The Bad
There is no save. By the time I got this for my 32x I had already finished the computer versions of both Doom I and II so there was no real surprises. There isn't much not to like about a game you can get for a few dollars.

The Bottom Line
Doom was the first ground breaking 1st person shooter that followed the huge success of Wolfenstein. The 32x version was the closest you could get to the computer version and in some ways was graphically better.
