Shin Force (Jun 15, 2000)
A realistic motorcycle racer very close to the original 1995 arcade machine and certainly better than Hang-On GP. There is some draw-in, but the game moves fast and smooth. I recommend this game along with the 3D Pad to control it.
Defunct Games (Jul 09, 2006)
Before you'll play Manx TT Super Bike, you must be prepared to get used to an announcer yelling crappy English speaking voice-overs. When the game starts he already goes: 'Manx TT Super Bike!!' While playing the game, you'll usually hear him scream: 'Hakkinen Checkcoin!' with which he means 'passing the checkpoint!'
Mega Fun (May, 1997)
Vom Fahrverhalten her muß man dem Racer hingegen uneingeschränktes Lob aussprechen.
Edge (Apr, 1997)
It seems that, more often than not, motorcycle racing games are the poor relation of their four-wheeled cousins, always appearing to follow a standard formula: take the engine of a successful car race smash, replace the car graphics with bikes, replace the controls and generally make things lean about a lot more. At least that's what Manx TT feels like.
With such a shortage of motorcycle racing sims on the market, any release is welcome - but one that's actually fun is nice. ManxTT is fun, not to mention fast, graphically solid and possibly the last good racing game to come out for the Saturn (pure speculation of course). Similar both in frame rate and look to Sega Rally, you have your choice of two tracks (four, if you count mirror mode) which surprisingly will keep you busy for a while. The game is good on it's own, but to really tap it, use the analog controller.
The Video Game Critic (May 01, 2007)
When you're in third place and still run out of time, clearly the difficulty is too steep. A skill select option would have been nice. The game automatically saves your best times in each mode. One of the more comical aspects of Manx is the voice announcer. With that lisp and effeminate voice, could he possibly sound more queer?! Manx TT Super Bike arrived on the scene as the Saturn was fading, so it didn't get much attention, but if you enjoy racing action this is a quality title.
Video Games (Apr, 1997)
GameSpot (Apr 03, 1997)
Manx TT Super Bike, Sega's latest arcade-to-Saturn racer, is finally out in the States. Based on the arcade game of the same name, Manx TT is significantly better than Sega's last Saturn motorcycle racer, the dismal Hang-On GP. However, despite the obvious gameplay improvements and smooth-flowing graphics, the limited number of tracks may scare off all but the hard-core players. Manx TT fails to deliver what only an exceptional few racing games possess: long-lasting play experience.
