RetroGame Man (Nov 06, 2016)
Next to Street Fighter Alpha 2, this is my favourite fighting game on the SNES. It’s beautiful, fun, and have giant mechs that battle each other! With a bunch of pals over, this game is endlessly replayable. While the game was never released stateside, there are numerous game sites they produce reproductions of the game. Overall, I give this game a 9/10. It is just too good to past up!
Nintendo Life (Feb 15, 2016)
The character roster might be a little on the low side with only nine Mobile Suits to pick from (and the cheap end-of-game boss Gundam Epyon a hidden versus mode exclusive) but even so this ranks among the top fighting games on the system, right up there with your favorite version of Street Fighter II, whichever that may be. You can use the translation patch to play in your RetroN 5 or Retro Freak, but it is not mandatory to enjoy the game in its native, untouched form. It's a real shame that as is the case with Natsume's noteworthy Power Rangers games, licensing problems are likely to prevent us from ever seeing this on Nintendo's Virtual Console platform. If you are a fan of the show or simply a follower of fighting games in general, this is certainly a Super Famicom cartridge worth having in your collection.
