Despite some annoying quirks (monsters keep coming back and the game doesn't allow saves in dungeons), Ultima VII is nicely crafted fun. Although it isn't the ultimate in RPGs, this lengthy adventure could make you a naturalized citizen of Britannia.

Devenu un banal Action-RPG amputé d’une très grande partie de ce qui faisait le sel du titre original, Ultima: The Black Gate offre une version lourdement expurgée de l’expérience de base. Certes, il y a davantage de donjons et les combats sont (un peu) plus intéressants que sur PC, mais l’histoire peine à intéresser et l’univers a perdu énormément de son charme. Un jeu assez mineur à l’échelle de la ludothèque de la Super Nintendo.
