Stellar Shard is an Asteroids variant developed by Jagex and released on their Java game website FunOrb. The goal of the game is to get a high score by destroying as many asteroids as the player can as they progress through a total of 50 levels. You control you ship using the left and right arrow keys to turn, forward and back arrow keys to thrust, and the space or ctrl keys to shoot your weapon. Colliding with an asteroid causes some of the ships shield to be depleted. Losing all of the shield will result in the ship blowing up the next time it is hit, resulting in a game over. Asteroids will occasionally drop power-ups when they are destroyed, these power-ups come in the form of different weapons, enhancements to your shield, or temporary invulnerability.
