Description

Super Nova is a 1 or 2-player Asteroids clone for the TRS-80.

The player controls a small spaceship which can rotate left and right. The ship can move forwards, and has a cannon that can shoot forwards. On the screen are a number of asteroids which move about, and if they strike the player, the player is destroyed. Each asteroid that is shot breaks into two smaller pieces, and then then two smaller pieces again if hit, finally being destroyed on the third hit. The player must also contend with spaceships which fire at the player. The initials of the game's authors float about, and can be shot for bonus points. The player starts with 3 lives, and when all are lost, it's game over. The goal is to maximize score.
