Table Top Racing: World Tour is the sequel to the mobile and handheld game Table Top Racing. It is a racing game with miniature cars racing in huge everyday environments in the tradition of the Micro Machines games. This version, for PC and consoles, has both a single-player campaign as well as online games with up to eight players.
The single-player campaign is based on six championships based on three divisions that also reflect the car types: cult classics (amateur), street racers (pro) and supercars (expert). Each cup consists of several types of events where up to three stars can be earned, for a total of 258. These are used to unlock the next championships. By winning races the player earns experience as well as coins. Coins can be spent to buy new cars, upgrade the statistics (top speed, acceleration, handling and armour), buy new skins and rims, and add weapon wheels.
Events consist of regular races with power-ups, pure races without power-ups, time trials, chasing after a car and so on. Along the way power-ups can be found, providing a (homing rocket), turning opponents into ice cubes, dropping mines or acid, a nitro etc. Using power-ups, combined with the weapon wheels and sometimes in combos, also provides coins. In later races a power-up can be conserved and then picked up a second time to turn it into a super power-up. Tracks have objects that can be knocked over, there are short-cuts and hidden cash bonuses. Next to the main championships there are separate, special events for more coins.
