"Tales of Eternia" schneidet in allen Belangen positiv ab.

Anyway, if you consider yourself a fan of the Tales series, you wouldn’t even have to read this review to know that Tales of Destiny II is a hit!
PlayStationLegendra (Oct 07, 2003)

In terms of buying value, this game is a definitely a must buy. In terms of ranking this game in the top list of rpgs for the Playstation, it's definitely in the top 10. If you love Star Ocean and an interactive battle system that's fast and furious then I recommend that you get this game. Heck I recommend you get this game anyways. This is probably 2001 best rpg game but then again Dragon Warrior 7 may dispute that.

Il n’y a vraiment rien à reprocher à Tales of Eternia.
PlayStationRPGamer (Dec 26, 2001)
Unlike the game before it, Tales of Destiny 2 is a winner in its own right. The battle system of the Tales series, a gem in itself, has been taken to new heights and can be as hectic as a fighting game. With this and a solid quest behind it, Namco has a winner. Hopefully the Tales series will continue, but at least the game proves to be one of the best of the last generation of Playstation RPG's.
PSPPAL Gaming Network (PALGN) (Feb 14, 2006)
Tales of Eternia is easily one of the finest games on the PSP. Fans of RPG's and substantial portable games must own and play this game.
PSPAceGamez (Feb 26, 2006)
Namco have produced a cracking PSP title with Tales of Eternia. It's an essential purchase for anyone who thirsts for RPG gaming on the go. It's charming, well presented, deep, involving and infinitely rewarding. If every remake was like this, modern gaming would be a much nicer place.
PSPDeeko (Apr 15, 2006)
There really aren't enough good things I can say about Tales of Eternia. The original game was quite good, but on the PSP the game is unrivaled. The story, while cliché, is enjoyable; the battle system is fast, fun and addicting; the sound and graphics are a treat for the ears and eyes; and there's just so much to do besides fighting and questing. No RPG released thus far crams as much to do on that little UMD as this. Were this game coming out in North America, I would be happy to implore that you pick it up.

Tales of Eternia is without a doubt a must have for any RPG fan and for everyone with a PSP in their backpack. Beautiful graphics, streamlined gameplay for both new and experienced gamers, a very deep real-time combat system and very short loading times make this game the first succesful RPG for Sony's handheld. A pearl that you'll finish with a smile on your face!

Ultimately, TOD2 manages to be an excellent RPG. If you can manage to look past the surface of this game, you will find an incredibly deep experience that you will love. If you are an RPG fan, you must have this game. And even if you are a casual fan, be sure to check TOD2 out anyway.

Tales of Eternia is, for RPG fans, an essential purchase on PSP. Even if you're only an occasional RPG player, or haven't spent time playing RPG's then there's no better time to start. Thanks Ubisoft for bringing this out in PAL territories - it's brilliant.

PlayStationIGN (Sep 19, 2001)
Compared to other games in its class, Tales of Destiny II is a competitor, if not necessarily the first choice. I'd play Valkyrie Profile first, given its far more interesting narrative, Persona 2's atmosphere smokes almost any alternative, and they've all of them got pretty questionable English dubs. The Tales battle system is in a class by itself, though, especially if you've never played any other game in the series. Of course, if you can get the first Tales of Destiny, that might actually be the worthier purchase, particularly since you ought to be able to get it cheap these days.
PSPGamer Within (Apr 05, 2006)
With the relatively small offering of quality role playing games on the PSP, it is safe to say that Tales of Eternia is one of the better games currently on the market. Although the battle system can become tiring after only several hours of play, the engaging storyline and interesting characters that you meet help to maintain your interest in the game through to the end. For those looking for a solid, lengthy RPG on the PSP, Tales of Eternia is worth a look.
PSPLegendra (Feb 12, 2007)
PlayStationPSM (Oct, 2001)
Even with its weaknesses, it's the little hings that make ToD2 such a memorable RPG after it's all said and done. While the random battles happen a little too often and the vocal tracks can be bad at times, the characters truly make this a treasure for RPG fans.
PlayStationGame Informer Magazine (Sep, 2001)
As far as translations go, Namco did a phenomenal job. The spoken dialogue fits perfectly, and the story flows from point to point. The one thing Namco didn’t stay true to is the look of the game. Although the graphics are in the anime fashion, realism is dispersed throughout. In every conceivable way, Tales of Destiny II transcends its problematic predecessor and stands as a well thought out old-school RPG.
Innovative real-time combat and a host of mini-games that take you off the beaten track to appreciate the scale of the quest also help make Eternia the best role-player on the PSP, and even though the action can often become tedious when you get stuck in rambling conversations with the locals while searching for clues, this is still a charming and compelling adventure.
PSPGamezine (Dec 26, 2005)

That said, this is by far and away the best RPG for the PSP currently on the market and, if you never make the denouement and staff roll, you'll likely have had enough fun climbing all over its most solid of frames that in the end, the Tales don't really matter that much after all.
PlayStationGamePro (US) (Sep 10, 2001)
In Tales of Destiny II, two alternate worlds Inferia and Celestia face certain destruction unless an ancient puzzle is solved. Enter Reid, intrepid protagonist, and his band of clueless heroes, ready to embark on an epic quest in search of the puzzle pieces that spans not only both worlds, but time itself.
PSPGaming Target (Jul 31, 2006)
Despite graphical and dubbing problems, Tales of Eternia is guaranteed to hold PSP RPG owners until the next big wave of games arrives for the system. While the game is only available in America through import, it’s still reasonably priced through Ebay, Amazon, etc. Although there’s no additional content for people who already played the original, besides the title change, people who have yet to experience a Tales game will be good to give it a go. Recommended.
PlayStationGame Informer Magazine (Sep, 2001)
Hoping to make up for the poor original, Namco gives us Tales of Destiny II before PlayStation gives up the ghost. While this sequel may not make it to the upper echelon of the system's RPGs, it's a definite improvement over its precursor, and a nifty game overall.
PSPRPG Kingdom (Mar 04, 2007)
PlayStationGameSpot (Sep 14, 2001)
As is often the case with RPGs, Tales of Destiny II is best recommended to real fans of the genre. Its story won't quite engage your intellect, and its graphics won't blow your mind. The fact remains, though, that if you like RPGs, it's a good bit of fun to play, and for fans of fun games, that may be all the recommendation necessary.
PSPFactornews (Mar 04, 2006)
