DescriptionTed Nugent Wild Hunting Adventure is a first-person hunting simulator akin to Deer Hunter, however depicted in a more irreverent, comical and violent tone. Players explore various areas and hunt for a variety of animals across five fictitious locales. Players initially start off with a .44 revolver, and their kills, depending on what animal, give them money which they can use to buy more hunting 'tools' at the general store, such as compound bows, hunting rifles, shotguns and even guitar case machine guns (however they can be found around levels as secret items), as well as powerups such as beef jerky. Animals range from deer to bison, to bears and rams, and each level has a set amount. Certain animals attack you, meaning that you must be on your toes at all times. At the cabin, players can refill their health and ammo, and swap weapons, and check on their stats.
Like the name, former rock star Ted Nugent appears in the game as a guide to the player, praising or criticizing them for what choices they make, as well as new guitar tracks as game music. The game is also more realistic in tandem to other hunting games released at the time, such as an increase in graphic violence and stricter game rules, as players must be mindful not to run with their gun out, shoot private property, and not to poach any animals, as they result in a loss of money and a earful from the 'Nuge.
