Terminator: Salvation is a third-person shooter based on the film of the same name. This version of the game was released alongside a feature phone version which it is similar to but differs in being fully 3D. The game is made up of a single-player campaign that consists of eight missions where the player gets to take of control of both John Connor and Marcus Wright, the two protagonists of the movie. After completing the full game, the option to play as a T-600 terminator is unlocked.
The game is similar to other third-person games of its time with plenty of cover-based shooting. Missions are linear and involve moving from one point to another while destroying all the enemies that appear. This includes humanoid terminators such as the T-600 as well as other robots such as spiders, the tank-like T-1 and the mech-like harvesters. Weapons include shotguns, grenade launchers, and surge cannons. In addition to the regular on-foot-levels, there are two vehicle-based levels, one with a jeep and one with a motorcycle.
