There are lots and lots of configuration options. This shows that the game can be played in full screen or windowed modes and that the resolution can be adjusted
thumbnail
The game can be played with a gamepad however this shows the keyboard controls. It is a very long list.
thumbnail
There over twenty DLC packs for this game

Selecting the character and location. This is the base game so no other location is available

There's a short introduction by Colton Locke the park ranger. The view is not static, the clouds drift along realistically and occasionally a bird graces us with its presence.
thumbnail
The start of the game.
thumbnail
At the start of the game it seems impossible to move an inch without a tutorial message popping up
thumbnail
Our first task is to find some animal tracks near the camp. Guess this means we're going the wrong way
thumbnail
Eventually the ranger gives us a helping hand
thumbnail
This is a white tailed deer
thumbnail
Not quite the one-shot-one-kill I was expecting. So now we're tracking the beast.
thumbnail
The white things ahead are not mushrooms, they are tracks. Tracks from the animal we're tracking are blue, tracks from other animals are white.
thumbnail
Now we've examined the track we know what the animal is, the rough direction it is going and whether it is walking or running
thumbnail
Sometimes the tracks are easy to follow but this is not always the case
thumbnail
Now we're crawling through the undergrowth following tracks
thumbnail
Looks like there's some sort of mission available. The survivalist will have to wait, our wounded deer is just 37m away. The blue haze is because we're on top of its tracks.
thumbnail
There's no music in this game. All we can here are the animal calls and the sound of our own movement.
thumbnail
Examining dung for clues. At this point I'd shoot anything that moves!
thumbnail
It went thataway!
thumbnail
Drat! Drat! and Double Drat! After tracking the wounded deer for half an hour I examined a different set of tracks and now I'm locked onto a turkey!
thumbnail
The scenery is really good and it is worth occasionally just having a look around
thumbnail
Following a turkey and this moose just wanders by, Bit too big for me to take on
thumbnail
Unexpectedly the ranger pops up with advice, I thought I was alone out here.
thumbnail
There is a lot of information available within the game
thumbnail
An in-game map shows where we.
