Remade for the PS2, based on the PC hit Tribes 2. Strap on your jetpack, ride a grav cycle, fly a plane, or try one of the many other vehicles and play Capture The Flag, Capture and Hold, Team Deathmatch, or Deathmatch. Choose from 3 armor classes, 10 weapons, and various gadgets. Up to 16 players can join using a PS2 Network Adaptor.
In late October 2015, current Tribes rights owners Hi-Rez Studios released Aerial Assault as freeware, alongside the other Tribes games (including the already freeware Starsiege: Tribes and Tribes 2) and the two EarthSiege games. This makes it the first and so far only commercially released PlayStation 2 game to become freeware.
