Should GBC split from 3D games? (Warriors of Might and Magic)

The games are similar in story and some items/magic, but differ in controls and game engine. I guess my question is, how much difference does there have to be in order to split or join games? I haven't actually played the GBC version so I can't comment on the differences in level layout and enemies, but from the screenshots it is probably different enough to be consider 2 entries. I just don't know what criteria is used to judge a case like this.

All three versions are different and each deserves its own entry. GBC versus the 3D versions is pretty obvious, but the level designs of the two console versions also differ.

According to MG's current standards, it should probably be separated.

But I have to say that in my opinion it just makes things more confusing for users.
