DescriptionWhere's My Water? is a real-time puzzle game based on the physics of water. The player needs to guide water flows to Swampy, a crocodile living under the city who desperately wants to take a bath. This is done by cutting pathways for the water in the ground with the player’s fingers.
Aside from the main task the player is challenged with flooding 3 rubber ducks in each level (called “tri-ducking”) and finding collectible items hidden in the dirt, that are essential for unlocking bonus levels. The optional bonus levels play differently: the player moves water flow by tilting their mobile device and the only goal is to “tri-duck” the level within a time limit.
The game was initially released with four chapters - "Meet Swampy", "Troubled Waters", "Under Pressure" and "Sink or Swim", each chapter containing 20 levels. The hazards that changed the path of water included moving objects, switches, plants that absorbed water, two types of acid, bombs, pressure valves and sprinklers. The later free updates introduced new hazard and play mechanics. "Change is Good" chapter added the ability to convert water into acid and vice versa. In "Boiling Point" update the mechanic that allowed the players to convert water into steam and back into water was introduced. The 7th chapter titled "Stretched Thin” mixes all previously introduced mechanics and adds water-filled balloons.
In January 2012 "Cranky's Story" was introduced. It’s a set of levels featuring Swampy’s rival crocodile Cranky. The gameplay is basically the same, but Cranky favors acid instead of pure water thus giving the game a bit darker feel. Also, a new set of challenges was introduced. These challenges require helping Cranky instead of Swampy on certain levels originally designed for Swampy and included in the main game.
In March 2012 a new chapter, "Caution to the Wind," was introduced. As of 9th March 2012 this update is only available for iPhone and iPad.
