The SNES version of Cybernator appears in the book 1001 Video Games You Must Play Before You Die by General Editor Tony Mott.

Unofficial translation

On March 7th, 2002, the uncensored Japanese version of Cybernator was completely translated by Aeon Genesis.

Version differences

The Japanese release, Assault Suits Valken, features anime-style avatars of a character whenever his or her speech was displayed across the screen, an element that was omitted from the U.S. release. It also has a story sequence depicting an enemy character's suicide that was later deemed unsuitable for American audiences.
