Pokémon World / Pocket World (2009)
Anyone who has seen the movie has wanted a good Ghostbusters game. Now, finally, it's arrived. Hooray!
The Video Game Critic (Jul 18, 2009)
Ghostbusters for the Wii may seem watered-down compared to the PS3 game, but with its easy-going style, intuitive controls, and brisk pacing, it has a charm of its own.
1UP (Jun 17, 2009)
As a Ghostbusters fan, this game comes through by delivering an entertaining experience with plenty of laughs and just the right amount of action. Instead of being a hashed-together port, the Wii version of Ghostbusters shows that when a developer puts real effort into tailoring the look and gameplay of a port to the system, the results can be every bit as enjoyable as the original.
Worth Playing (Jul 27, 2009)
Though it's easy to assume that the Wii version of Ghostbusters is the "lesser" version at first glance, this is one book you don't want to judge by its cover. Red Fly has done an excellent job of building the game for the Wii from the ground up, and while it may not be perfect, taken as a whole Ghostbusters for the Wii is the best version currently available. Oh, and did we mention that it's $20 cheaper to boot? Unless you absolutely, positively, require online play, this is the one to get.

N-Europe (Oct 04, 2009)
Ghostbusters is a title oozing with charm and dripping with high presentation values. Control is stable but definitely a love it or hate it set-up. Unfortunately, due to length issues, you'll be left hankering for more...
Meristation (Oct 21, 2009)
Multiplayer.it (Nov 02, 2009)
Nintendo Life (Jun 28, 2009)
Putting aside a few jumps in difficulty and a rather disappointing multiplayer mode, Ghostbusters: The Video Game is without a doubt the best attempt at capturing the thrill of the movies in digital form to date and a real service to fans who grew up watching the films and cartoons. Red Fly has put a lot of work and effort into making this a great experience and in making the Wii version a lot more than just a simple port with waggle. If you’re a fan of the Ghostbusters, you will certainly love this game - just be careful to not cross the streams.
Kombo.com (Jul 01, 2009)
While it's become obvious that Ghostbusters fans would love to see a third film, this game is what stands in its place. The Wii version of Ghostbusters is a lot of fun, and it holds up well against both the PS3 and 360 versions of the game. It was commendable of Red Fly Studio to make the Wii version a unique product, focusing more in on the system's strengths and capabilities rather than just porting down from another version. Ghostbusters fans should be quite pleased with the overall outcome of the game as it does a good job remaining faithful to the franchise and in continuing the overall storyline of the series.
NintendoWorldReport (Jul 03, 2009)
Ghostbusters: The Video Game does a fantastic job tying in with the legacy of the movies. The appearance of most of the core crew in the game, as well as an interesting story and witty dialog, creates an experience that is unlike anything seen in a game before. Fans of Ghostbusters shouldn't hesitate in picking this fantastic title up. Those who aren't huge fans of the source material won't be as enthralled with the title; however, the gameplay and controls are both solid, and though extremely linear, the game provides for an interesting ride.
GameSpot (Jun 17, 2009)
The short playtime is the game's biggest drawback, but if completing your scan collection doesn't give you enough reason to return, the split-screen co-op play just might. It's a little jarring to have two rookies involved in the story, but it hardly matters when you're having such a great time. And a great time you'll have with Ghostbusters The Video Game, which tickles the funny bone and offers good old-fashioned fun at a snazzy tempo. This may not be the next action classic, but it's a whole lot better than Ghostbusters 2.
Ghostbusters The Video Game for Wii is an amazingly fun game that utilizes the strengths of the console well. If you own the PS3 or 360 version already there isn't much reason to experience this one, as the story is mostly the same. The split-screen co-op makes up for a lack of online, and the motion controls work surprisingly well. If you only own a Wii and loved the antics of the masters of paranormal activity, then there is no reason not to pick up this version. It really feels like a spiritual successor to the series we all grew up with and loved.
Da Gameboyz (2009)
Ghostbusters: The Video Game for the Nintendo Wii is a great single player title for fans of the movies, and people that like games that are challenging and fun, but the lack of quality in the multiplayer department is a little sad. With stylized graphics and great sound, this game is a great choice to pick up at any age.
IGN (Jun 12, 2009)
Ghostbusters: The Video Game is fun, and it's a pretty solid Wii experience. I'm so used to this console getting watered down ports that I don't think I was expecting Red Fly to produce something this engaging. Yes, there are flaws I see as a fan (no wand/pack connection), flaws I see as a reviewer (wrangling can take too long), and flaws everyone can see (lip syncing), but the game should still be an enjoyable ride for fans of the series or people just looking to zap and trap some supernatural wonders with the help of the Wii-mote.
Game Shark (Jul 07, 2009)
Ok, so there are some issues that keep this from being the pinnacle of Ghostbusters nirvana. It’s still the most fun you can have without strapping on a proton pack, hijacking an old ambulance, and harassing the undead ladies at your local library.
Cheat Code Central (2009)
On the whole, Ghostbusters is an impressive production most fans should eat up. We had a fun time with the game, though we were also left with serious reservations due to glitching that might cause less-experienced gamers to hang up their proton packs well before the journey ends. For those who can get past the game’s shortcomings, however, there’s plenty of content here to justify the full price. You can play cooperatively with a friend pretty much the entire way through, and it does, indeed, add a lot to the experience. There are some fun achievements that play into the actual gameplay, and overall, it’s a really well-written and thoughtful production.
Official Nintendo Magazine (Nov 07, 2009)
Nevertheless, Ghostbusters is a well-realised game with a corking sense of humour, some great film favourite bosses and sharp controls, at least when it comes to aiming your weapon. It's well worth your time, pennies and rose tinted specs.
3D Juegos (Nov 11, 2009)
Gemakei (formerly Zentendo) (Sep 14, 2009)
Overall, this is a fun game that is a worthy entry into the Ghostbusters franchise. While there are complaints to be had with the controls and A.I., thankfully neither of these issues ruin the game nor make it unplayable. Fans of the series with a Wii should pick it up. Others might want to rent before to be safe.
Game Informer Magazine (Sep 22, 2009)
The Wii version follows the same general story, but its wacky character models make this look like a wildly different title. The camera lock-on and Wii-exclusive split screen co-op are nice additions, but the simplified combat and truncated levels ultimately leave this game a little flat. The Wii provides a Ghostbusters experience, but it's not the Real Ghostbusters experience.
GamesRadar (Jun 17, 2009)
Ultimately, this game is a true celebration of all things Ghostbusters, and all the fans shouldn't wait to get this if the Wii is all they have. For those with little love for the series, it's still a good action game, although the finicky controls and the at-times too-kiddy design might be too much, especially without the warm feeling of nostalgia to cover the game’s flaws. Even if you fall into that camp, it might still be worth a rental - and while you’re at the store, why not rent the first movie and give it another shot? Because something is wrong with you if you don't like Ghostbusters.
Eurogamer.net (UK) (Nov 03, 2009)
Instead we get another merely serviceable theme park ride; a brief, unchallenging jaunt through linear corridors decorated with just enough "official merchandise" appeal to mask the threadbare design. That will likely be enough to placate eager fans for one weekend playthrough, but it doesn't really do justice to their long simmering passion or the film that inspired it.
