Nintendo Life (Feb 23, 2009)
Nerf N-Strike is a simple light-gun game that has around six modes of action, each mode has multiple variations but at the end of the day will loose it's interest in a relatively short period of time. The Switch Shot EX-3 is the best thing about the game, it just goes to show that playing with a real Nerf gun is better than a virtual one. Unless your big fan of the N-Strike series of toys, forget about this one and move on.
Console Obsession (May 29, 2010)
The major failing of NERF N-Strike is that it all feels a little soulless and mediocre. It’s enjoyable enough and works just as it should, but it quite frankly never gave me the impression that it was crafted with much heart. Fans of the toy would be better off sticking to the real world version, while for everyone else, if there’s any reason to shell out, it’s for the excellent gun rather than the average offering that is the game.
