It should come as no surprise at all that I heartily recommend Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 2: The Siege of Spinner Cay and, if you haven't already, download the first episode and play through that, too. So far, the story is great, the puzzles are wonderful, and the script represents some of the best writing in the industry. If Telltale's previous record of improving as time goes on with their season holds firm, it means that there's no reason not to jump on the bandwagon as soon as possible.

After starting off strongly, Telltale has done it once more with the second episode of Tales of Monkey Island proving to be slightly tougher, wittier, more user-friendly, and as downright enjoyable as the first outing. If you enjoyed Launch of the Screaming Narwhal, then The Siege of Spinner Cay is an essential purchase.
Like the first chunk of Tales of Monkey Island, The Siege of Spinner Cay culminates in a juicy cliffhanger that will leave you craving the next chunk of the adventure. Additionally, Guybrush's reunion with Elaine is short lived, and there's a lot of potential craziness bubbling beneath the surface. We can't wait to see it hopefully erupt next month. Chapter two is a good continuation of the freaky voodoo pirating already laid down in the series.
Nintendojo (2009)
The adventure genre seems safe from dying out completely for now, as the second chapter of Tales of Monkey Island continues the laugh-out-loud, hilarious and whimsical adventures of Guybrush Threepwood. Though slow at first, the second half really picks up and allows for the story and characters to finally start connecting, albeit leaving openings for obvious future chapters.

The Siege of Spinner Cay, while flawed and shorter than the first episode, is an overall better experience and if you finished the first episode you should of course get this one, once again with the warning that the Wii version’s audio and framerate aren’t as good as the PC version. And remember, you'll surely avoid scurvy if you all eat an orange!
Nintendo Life (Sep 01, 2009)
As is the case with most multi-part games and stories, Chapter 2 of Tales of Monkey Island doesn't really do much interesting stuff in terms of story progression. It plays exactly the same as the first chapter, just with different puzzles, so if you enjoyed that, you'll most certainly enjoy this. Sadly, the game loses a point as it once again has annoying audio and visual hiccups; something which should not be allowed to happen. Please look for an acceptable solution for the next chapter, Telltale!
