Aladdin Activity Center will appeal to young children as well as their parents with the beloved Disney's characters. The animations are brilliant and with the music of the movie, the kids will love it. The icing on the cake is the music theater that features 6 film clips from the movie (over 100 megabytes long) and you will find yourself trapped in this theater watching over and over again excerpts of this superb cartoon.
If it’s depressing to see the company’s omnivorous product-franchise machine conquer a new frontier (the disc immediately became a best-seller), it should be noted that Aladdin Activity Center is actually pretty good. While the puzzles are passable, and the paint-box software, which allows your kids to wield on-screen crayons and brushes or play connect-the-dots, is standard, Disney’s production values really do make the difference: The animation is slick, bright, and fast, and Dan Castellaneta has a flip appeal as the voice of the genie.
Marketed for children ages 5 and up, this title is certainly value for money. It's great fun and very easy to use, and comes with an excellent manual with step by step installation instructions for parents who are not familiar with computers.
Though this game is defined as being for ages 5 and up, even the higher difficulty levels will not truly challenge players older than their teens. For younger kids who enjoyed the movie, however, this game will delight and challenge them. The only other flaw is how few pictures there are to color. These parts of the game will quickly be completed, and then lose any hope of being played again.
