With Open Eyes
Description
With Open Eyes is an educational multimedia CD-ROM that was developed in conjunction with the Art Institute of Chicago. The program acts as an virtual gallery of the institute's collection and allows the user to see, read and hear about more than 200 works of art. The collection can be browsed by geography or time period and for each piece of art it's possible to zoom in and study it in detail. The user also has a scrapbook which can be used to save photos of the artworks. The program also contains games, one for each artwork. These include puzzle games such as jigsaws and connect the dots puzzles but also quiz-like games where the player has to find a detail, spot an error or answer what an item is used for.
