2002 Pentamino Puzzles is a single-player, casual game where the player has to reconstruct a pattern using a standard set of twelve differently shaped tiles. The game is played in a window which contains an image of the target shape. The player uses the mouse to drag tiles into the target framework and flips or rotates them to fit.

There is sound and a cheat function which shows how the pieces are arranged in the completed puzzle. All puzzles are numbered allowing the player to work through them in sequence, alternatively there is a self-explanatory randomiser function and a picture menu that allows the player to pick puzzles by shape.

A useful filler for game compilations

This game has been around for a while, the earliest copyright date found is 2003. As with a number of Selectsoft's casual gaming titles it has featured in a number of game compilations. Three hundred puzzles were included in 1000 Board & Puzzle Games and the full game appears in the mega compilation 333,000 Games.
