When you look at it, ABC Monday Night Football may just seem like your average football title, and in some respects it is. If you give it a chance, however, ABC Monday Night Football does prove to have some depth after all.

With all of the football games on the market, a program must do something special to stand out from the crowd. ABC's Monday Night Football presents the entire television experience as its angleā€¦ and it works. You can't expect much more than that.
What's the bottom line on MNF? Despite some significant problems, I recommend it. While MNF doesn't succeed as a one-player game due to its brain-damaged AI, its brilliant interface and exciting connectivity options should make it the game of choice for head-to-head play. As much a look-and-feel game as a simulation, it truly captures the essence of Monday Night Football.
Even though it specifies in the instruction manual that you only need a Pentium 75 Mhz, this game struggled with my 90 Mhz computer. Also, be aware that when you install the game it will take up a lot of hard drive space. The minimum installation takes around 60 MB, whereas the full install takes around 300 MB. I didn't have the room to do a full install, so that may explain some of the choppiness and slowdown I encountered. If your machine makes the grade, and you like football, then this is one game you can't afford to miss.

Speed is Monday Night Football's bane. I tested this game with a Gateway 2000 P5-133, a Matrox Millennium video card, and 16MB of RAM, and it plays like that pizza-laden lineman. The game itself isn't overly slow, but the wait to start the game and change options is unacceptable thanks to the superfluous "features." Once the action begins, the digitized speech is so stuttered that I have to wipe spittle from my speakers.
