And Yet It Moves gehört zu der Sorte von Titeln, die man als Videospielredakteur eher selten testen darf: unabhängig, unbekannt, individuell und vor allem genial. Zudem hat es sogar einen hohen Wiederspielwert. Der Titel ist für alle Nicht-Mainstream-Fans, die auf Geschicklichkeit sowie Jump'n'Run stehen und auf High-End-Optik beziehungsweise -Sound verzichten können auf jeden Fall ideal. Gut, vielleicht werden jetzt nicht mehr viele Spiele-Fans übrigbleiben, deshalb lege ich es einfach jedem ans Herz, der neugierig ist und mal "etwas anderes" ausprobieren will. Übrigens könnt ihr euch vor dem Kauf, in einer Demo-Version von dem kreativen Spiel überzeugen, die drei Levels beinhaltet. Die Vollversion ist via Steam, Greenhouse oder auf der offiziellen Homepage erhältlich.

After this correction, And Yet It Moves is an obvious recommendation for platforming fans, but it won’t revolutionize the genre or convert any outsiders. Not that it has to. Despite some of the design turn-offs, AYIM takes a clever mechanic and creates an interesting world that slowly unravels. It is a less flashy Portal, but just as innovative.

It probably won’t take you long to switch to your own music, but the achievements are interesting, there are time trials as well, and it fits right into that whole argument about not being able to classify games as hardcore or casual anymore. I’m giving it 8.5

And Yet It Moves cements Broken Rules' status as a developer to watch. Expect big things from these guys. While it's only a few hours long, And Yet It Moves is one of the most addictive and refreshing games I've played this year. If you've been wondering what innovation is left to be explored in 2D platformers, spend some time in this bizarre world. The game empowers the player and lets us perform crazy stunts that have heretofore been impossible. My one complaint is that there isn't quite enough gameplay here to justify the $15 price tag. But, hey, what other game lets you trick a chimpanzee into throwing feces at itself?

De besturing kan in het begin wat verwarrend zijn en je zult gegarandeerd de wereld vaak verkeerd roteren, maar eenmaal je het in je vingers hebt, wordt het echt genieten. Alweer een aanrader van formaat.

And Yet it Moves est un titre tout simple, avec une mécanique de jeu aussi basique qu'efficace et pourtant, il se démarque complètement tant son univers est unique. Traverser des mondes en papier est ensorcelant et le jeu vous laissera sans voix plus d'une fois si jamais vous avez la chance de vous y essayer. Même si certains argueront que le traverser d'un bout à l'autre est court, le constat est implacable : l'expérience est sans pareil et vaut largement le détour.

The 15 dollar price tag may deter a few but competition modes, achievements and a stunning audio-visual experience make the title well worth the price. And Yet It Moves se encuentra en Steam por 12,99 euros. Tal vez su apariencia de juego-indie-simplón eche para atrás, pero quien le quiera dar una oportunidad verá que es un juego con mucha salsa, muy entretenido y muy único. Tenéis la demo para comprobarlo, aunque he de decir que los primeros niveles no son los mejores. Los desarroladores, BrokenRules, son un pequeño grupo de apenas cinco personas salidos de la universidad de Viena, que juntando ayudas se las apañaron para sacar esto adelante. Siendo este su primer trabajo, servidor se quita el sombrero.

And Yet It Moves est une nouvelle preuve, au cotés de Limbo, Braid ou World of Goo, que la 2D peut toujours apporter des titres bons et originaux. Atypique a la fois par ses graphismes de papier et sa jouabilité permettant de faire tourner le monde, le jeu arrive a faire de ces éléments déstabilisants au premier abord des atouts tout le long d'une aventure certes courte, mais se renouvelant continuellement.

And Yet It Moves is certainly unique, and novelty is one of its main selling points. The clever rotation mechanic is fun to play with and satisfying to master, though you will yearn for a meaningful twist or a new gameplay device before all is said and done. Nevertheless, there's plenty of engaging puzzle action here, and it's all presented in a strange and delightful way. You may end up wishing it was more substantial, but And Yet It Moves has enough style to make it a fun, worthwhile diversion.

Uff, mir dreht sich der Kopf! Aber genau das macht den Reiz von And Yet It Moves aus. Vor allem die fordernden Rätsel, eingebettet in kreativ gebaute Levels, machen Laune. Mehr Feinschliff hätte das Spiel aber vertragen können. Die mangelnde Übersicht und ungenaue Physik strapazierte mehr als nur einmal meine Nerven. Wer darüber hinweg sehen kann und keinen Wert auf eine Handlung legt, sollte sich diesen (wenn auch kurzen) Geheimtipp mal anschauen.

My advice is to consider getting the game if you're into the indie game scene, or are looking for something different (not to be confused with better) than your run-of-the-mill platformer for just a tenner. But if you're like me and play computer games to kick arse and blow stuff up, you'll probably want call this one a pass.
