BC2 is the first Battlefield game since 2142 to not suck, but it still feels diluted. Kaddy B. (796) 3.57 Stars3.57 Stars3.57 Stars3.57 Stars3.57 Stars

Bad Company 2 is easily my FPS of choice. That is not an easy feat when you take into account it took Left 4 Dead to pull me away from Counter Strike, and for Bad Company 2 to grab me in such as way, is a great achievement. I am glad it did so. I can see myself playing for months maybe years to come. With around 6 months of DLC in the form of maps and game modes planned, it will easily keep up with Call Of Duty. It proves, yet again, that the Battlefield series is here for the long run.
DarkZero (Mar 21, 2010)
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is as complete a package as you could ever ask for. An exciting and charming campaign mode – a little on the short side, but no more so than Modern Warfare 2‘s, and with extra objectives for you to hunt down should you feel the need – and slick, incredibly rewarding multiplayer modes.
ZTGameDomain (Jan 17, 2011)
Battlefield Bad Company 2 is by all intents and purposes a fantastic follow-up to the original game. All of the great ideas that fell short have now come to light, and the return of classic Battlefield online make this the game to own for online shooter fans.
This genre is crowded, and while Call of Duty and Halo may grab the headlines and sales, Bad Company 2 is a nice alternative to the hectic run-and-gun style of Call of Duty and shielded opponents of Halo: Reach. EA is still continuing support with a new pack recently released and a full expansion called Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam. Innovation is what keeps this genre alive and flourishing. DICE studios has done a great job adding new ideas and concepts to the console FPS genre -- it makes some of the changes brought on by the competition seem amateur in comparison. The are many virtual wars to fight, and many virtual opponents to shoot, but Bad Company 2 makes it worth your time to enlist in this crowed FPS market.
Cheat Code Central (Mar 03, 2010)
There's a ton of fun to be had here whether playing alone or with gamers online. The combat is fun, the characters are great, and there is a ton of gaming value shoehorned into this disk. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is a worthy sequel to the original; I'll be excited to see where this franchise goes next.
Atomic Gamer (Mar 03, 2010)
Even with its problems, Bad Company 2 on the PC is the real deal, and it's definitely worth the money for anyone that has been a fan of Battlefield games in the past.
GameTrailers (Aug 10, 2010)
The campaign could use some creative spark, but it’s the staying power of the multiplayer that wins the day. If you look to get the most out of your money with video game purchases, you can’t go wrong with Battlefield Bad Company 2.
PCActu (May 20, 2010)
Do you like first-person shooters? If the answer is yes, buy Battlefield: Bad Company 2. EA might be looking at Medal of Honor to get a Modern Warfare sized hit, but BC2 deserves good things too.
Gameplanet (Mar 03, 2010)
DICE have reinvigorated a genre that was in mild decline on its native platform. The experience is equal parts nostalgia and evolution. We only wish more were striving in this space.
GameSpy (Mar 04, 2010)
Sure, a number of minor things got under my skin (some painfully spread-out checkpoints, crappy multiplayer unlocks, and a few bad online spawn points), but they'll scarcely prevent it from marching into the homes of millions of people for me to blow up. It's kind of like DICE has trained for a game development biathlon, resulting in its first game where the single-player mode is just as good as the multiplayer -- and that says DICE has what it takes to be among the best in the business. In times when "modern" is the word-of-the-day for military-themed shooters, Bad Company 2 proves you don't need to stand at the top of the medal podium -- you simply blow it to goddamn smithereens.
Game Over Online (Mar 12, 2010)
While single player may have taken a step back, multiplayer has taken a giant step forward. From the new modes and vehicles to the expanded level of destruction and rewarding progression system, it all lends to an open warfare experience that will have you returning to the battlefield for months to come.
ActionTrip (Mar 16, 2010)
A shooter you'll remember and want to play again. It effectively offers one of the best multiplayer experiences, in addition to a pretty solid single-player campaign, and the graphics are top-notch, accompanied by superb sound effects and a thrilling soundtrack.
CPU Gamer (Apr 04, 2010)
There are still a few niggling issues that need ironing out, but until Battlefield 3, Bad Company 2 is the new online shooter to beat and man, good luck to other developers-wanting-to-make-good-online-shooters, because this one’s going to be a tough one to outdo.
ComputerGames.ro (Apr 08, 2010)
Personally, I feel Bad Company 2 is much more satisfying, especially when you’ve got a few friends to cooperate with, or happen to have teammates who understand their classes. And the mixture between the Battlefield gameplay and the one in Call of Duty has spawned an interesting hybrid for whoever has only been partially seduced by both franchises.
Cheat Happens (Mar 09, 2010)
Battlefield Bad Company 2 is every bit as fun as its predecessor, perhaps even a bit more. It doesn’t exactly take Modern Warfare 2’s throne, but the great online play is back and with a beefed up single player – it comes close. Damn close.
AusGamers (Mar 16, 2010)
You're going to have fun with BFBC2 - the single-player is a much improved affair over that of the first game, and the multiplayer is like a fine wine (when it works); crafted from vintage cellars who've made it their business to perfect their art.
GameSpot (Mar 04, 2010)
With all the different classes, vehicles, and stationary weapons (like heavy machine guns and mounted rocket launchers) at play, there is a dazzling array of ways to wage war. These tools, coupled with the threat and promise of destructibility, make Bad Company 2's battlefields uniquely chaotic and electrifyingly fun. The action is top-notch in both campaign and multiplayer alike. Whether or not you're looking for a new shooter in your life, you owe it to yourself to play Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Gamers.at (Mar 03, 2010)

Remember: This is a multiplayer game. For all the thrills the single-player might provide, it’s nothing compared to what’s in the game, when you go online. It’s always thrilling, memorable and a joy to be part of the fight, a fight where your contributions matter for the entire team in big ways, even if it’s not always immediately apparent. There are still a few niggling issues that need ironing out, but until Battlefield 3, Bad Company 2 is the new online shooter to beat and man, good luck to other developers-wanting-to-make-good-online-shooters, because this one’s going to be a tough one to outdo.
GamersGlobal (Mar 02, 2010)
IGN (Mar 02, 2010)
Bad Company 2 as an online shooter is flexible and engaging, offering several features that the competition can only dream of. If you're looking for a more strategic and team-based change of pace, look no further. This is the game for you.
PC Gamer (Apr, 2010)
Ultimately, it's Bad Company 2's de-emphasis on precision that makes it refreshing to play. It's a bold departure from the franchise's own history, as well as PC gaming's heritage of fast-tempo shooters with sky-high skill ceilings – Quake, Counter-Strike or Unreal Tournament – but a welcoming venue for lower-key combat antics that's just as entertaining.
PC Games (Germany) (Mar 02, 2010)
Mana Pool (Mar 11, 2011)
Battlefield has an average lengthed single player mode, albeit with awesome graphics and the ability to break and blow up just about everything. The multiplayer mode however is fun and very addictive, meaning that the longevity of this game is immense. Multiplayer first person shooters will not see things that battlefield has to offer for a long time, and that’s superior graphics with a gripping storyline and an epic online mode.
Game Revolution (Mar 16, 2010)
As a singleplayer experience, Bad Company 2 is mostly forgettable, which is a disappointment considering how entertaining the first game’s campaign was. Thankfully the multiplayer features are so polished and well designed that BC2’s shortcomings won’t matter in the slightest.
Gameplay (Benelux) (Feb 27, 2010)
Giant Bomb (Mar 03, 2010)
Bad Company 2 is a terrific multiplayer shooter that offers the scope and strategy that made the Battlefield series so great in the first place. The single-player, however, feels a little flat this time around.
GameStar (Germany) (Feb 26, 2010)
(Singleplayer score)
Alles in allem also nur gehobenes Shooter-Mittelmaß.
