Tech with Kids (Computing with Kids) (Oct 27, 2000)
This program does a nice job of introducing young children to art concepts such as layout and composition, illustration, design, and color mixing. The navigation in this Blue's CD-ROM is not as intuitive as some of the earlier Blue's software titles; but once you get a hang of it, kids will enjoy expressing their creative selves.
Review Corner (Oct, 2000)
Though this title doesn’t give a whole lot of room for breakthrough creative expression, it does give an inspiring nudge towards thinking creatively. A far cry from traditional paint programs, Blue’s Art Time Activities introduces kids to the fundamentals of art, requires them to listen and follow directions, and is entirely absorbing.
Edutaining Kids (May, 2001)
What this title is missing is a good freeform art activity. Unfortunately, there is a draw-between-the-lines attitude in the game that doesn’t quite gel with the whole Blue’s Clues philosophy. However, this title remains fun and appealing, and boasts an introduction to the world beyond primary colors like no other. In fact, after spending a bit of time with this program, your preschooler will likely be more color-literate than you are (think vermilion and chartreuse).
Game industry News (GiN) (2001)
Blue's Art Time Activities earns 4 GiN gems because it fulfils a special function in the child-learning category, that of the often ignored area of artistic talent.
All Game Guide (2000)
Kids will enjoy making art and interacting with the Blue's Clues crew.
