Pretty good for a snowboarding game, I guess. Grov (667) 3 Stars3 Stars3 Stars3 Stars3 Stars

Supreme Snowboarding is a great game, with the varied jumps & moves you can perform and with the excellent tracks you have to race on, the game offers great playability and longevity with its fast paced & addictive gameplay. The added 8 player network option offers great multiplayer gameplay that makes the game last even longer.

I'm dreaming of a white christmas!

The best thing about Supreme Snowboarding is its playability. I guess that the ease of gameplay was the very thing that has attracted me to this game. You don't have to remember hundreds of commands like in X-Games Pro Boarder or perform an elaborate ritual just to make your character jump. Apart from the cursor keys you only have two more commands. The riders simply glide down the mountain, bridges, frozen roads, but they do tend to simply stand still if they come across a surface with no snow, even though they were moving at about 100 km/h afore that. Not too realistic, but I guess you'll just have to take that the way it is. Even besides this defect the feeling of the ride is fantastic. And this also goes for different behaviors of the snowboard on different surfaces: easy ride on the smooth snow, somewhat harder controls in deep snow and wild sliding on ice. I simply loved the feel of hitting an ice surface and gliding on it.

Youpi !

Sure, it has some faults, but snowboarders and lovers of extreme sports games everywhere will get a gang of kicks out of Boarderzone.

The real strength of the game lies in the multiplay which is more fun than stuffing a couple of de-clawed ferrets down the front of your boxers. Another in the 'good game to play after a booze-up' hall of fame, and an all-round bit of a laugh. Up to eight players are supported. Supreme Snowboarding is being released on the Dreamcast as well as the PC and, as we expected, the PC version is the one you want. Like Trickstyle, the PC version is far superior to the fledgling console offering. A game for the Phatties among us all, Supreme Snowboarding is well worth checking out, even if sporty racing games aren't your usual thing. It's fun, fast and very moorish.

Still, Boarder Zone is a lot of fun. Gamers are sure to enjoy blasting down the hills and pulling off major stunts. And if you're willing to overlook a few technical issues, you'll find that Boarder Zone is a great game that will provide hours of excitement for armchair athletes everywhere.

Usually the PC is overlooked when it comes to snowboarding games. Where are the 1080s? The Cool Boarders? The MTV Snowboardings? The only decent snow-shredder we PC owners have is ESPN X Games Pro Boarder, and it's getting rather dated by now. But now there's a new kid in town ... Boarder Zone. The title formerly known as Supreme Snowboarding really caught our eyes when we saw it at last year's E3. Even in its infancy, it was one of the best looking titles at the big show, so we've been waiting in wet anticipation to see how the final game turned out. Well now the wait is over and we have to say, we're pretty impressed with our latest PC snowboarding entry.

PC Joker (Dec, 1999)

Einsteiger sollten also aufpassen.

Despite its ridiculous difficulty, Boarder Zone is a great joy to play. The various snow-capped mountains that provide the title’s atmosphere hold an almost innocent, child-like appeal, and the graphics engine conveys this beautifully. As if this wasn’t enough, the combination of a simple control scheme with a seemingly endless level of customizable options makes for an experience that fits itself to most any style or mood. Whether it’s a quick, exhilarating run down the hill, or a risky mid-air maneuver that you’re craving, Boarder Zone delivers.
