Hammer Technologies website:
The recreation of the 1997 Motorcycle World Championship is what "Castrol Honda Superbike" has tried to achieve (succesfully). Never before had been edited a videogame that could offer to the players similar sensations to the ones that feel Mick Doohan, Alex Crivillé or Carlos Checa riding their incredible machines.

With this motorcycle races simulator, the fans of this sport will have the controls of the winning machine of the two seasons ago World Championship: An Honda RFV-RC45 wich develops a 160 C.V. capacity and a speed of 190 MPH. The numerous options included make more accesible the handling of the game, though in the highest level of difficulty, the players find themselves in the necessity of showing their skills.

In order to eliminate defects in the control of the motorcycle, it has been included a practice mode for beginners as well as another one of training, wich permits to follow a experienced pilot machine to learn how to run in the curves. Finally, the race itself, of six laps and fifteen minutes of duration, includes five different levels of difficulty, from the easiest ("Rookie") to the most complicated ones ("Ace" and "Proffesional"), besides the option that our motorcycle can suffer damages when there is an impact against a rival machine or the curves protections.

For improving our way of handling, at the end of every race can be seen a replay of it. The advanced options permit, among other details, to choose the number of rivals to compete against, or to reduce the number of laps to go in the circuit. Other possibilities are the divided screen and the network game. The menu options have nineteen sections.
