Chess 2: The Sequel is based on the rules of chess with the intention to break the importance of memorization. The game is still a skirmish of two players, but instead of having a mirror match-up, there are six different factions: Classic, Two Kings, Empowered, Animals, Nemesis and Reaper. They each have their own strategy, often based on movement. In order to limit the number of draws, victory is given to the player who can move their king past the middle line. There is also a dueling mechanism based on bets that can add more strategy and depth to piece taking.
