A solid entry in the Carol Reed canon, then. One that I would recommend highly for its plot and panorama, its charm and its enjoyably unique style.
In sum, Cold Case Summer: A Carol Reed Mystery is another worthy addition to the series. Although there are references made in the game to mature subject matters such as drugs and prostitution, there is no explicit violence or foul language. If you have played other games in the series, you will love sleuthing with Carol in her most dangerous case to date.
De bekende problemen op het gebied van graphics, muziek, gameplay en puzzels blijven aanwezig. Toch heb ik me ook met deel negen vermaakt. Het onderwerp van het verhaal maakt het spel een stuk interessanter.

Overall, Cold Case Summer is another enjoyable adventure in the Carol Reed series, bringing the total to nine games so far. For longtime fans, this game provides more of what you like about the series, and a small improvement has been made at last with the addition of a hotspot revealer. Despite the wonderful photography, the antiquated slideshow production may continue to turn some people off. But if you don't mind exploring scenic Sweden one unanimated screen at a time, you'll find a short but entertaining game that offers some intriguing background information on the unsolved political murder of Olof Palme and a plausible theory to finally close the case for good (at least in Carol's world).
