Just Adventure (Aug 07, 2003)
First of all, let me say it loud and clear: this game will be an instant CLASSIC adventure game. I have not been so absorbed by a FMV (Full Motion Video) adventure game since Tex Murphy: The Pandora Directive. Despite some minor issues which I will explain in detail, this game has the story, characters, and puzzles that make a great adventure game.
PGNx Media (Nov 03, 2003)
Adventure fans have been waiting for a game like Conspiracies. Its story is very interesting dealing with themes like sexual affairs, drugs, and gambling. Take a few hours to play through.
Quandary (Jul, 2003)
All in all I must say that it is one of the best detective adventure games I have played in some time. It's a fun, challenging game with an affable main character, a good mystery to unravel, and with an ending that clearly suggests that there will be no rest for Nick Delios. I'm already in line for the sequel.
There are a lot of gamers who will want to play this game and a lot who will enjoy it more than I did. Others will come away immensely frustrated. Still, Anestis Kokkindis, the driving force behind Conspiracies, got a lot of things right. He obviously knows adventure games and just as obviously was working with limited resources. If he takes what he has done with Conspiracies, comes up with a more original premise, works on making his puzzles more intuitive and user-friendly and the interface a little more transparent, gets the graphics into the Twenty-First Century, I think he is going to make a great game someday. Conspiracies, unfortunately, is not that game, but it's a pretty good start.

An exciting story and many puzzle challenges make Conspiracies an absorbing adventure game, which offers many entertaining hours even to the advanced player. Who knows sufficient English to get through the game without sub-titles and owns a DVD drive, should access the homepage the next days, because that is at the moment the only possibility of purchasing this Sci-Fi crime thriller outside of Greece.
Adventure-Treff (Aug 09, 2003)
In the end, Nick and Conspiracies made a believer out of me. I cared whether he solved the mystery, rooted for him to get his girl and wanted the bad guys to pay big time. Even better, it was all delivered in a nice neat satisfying package.
This game is rated Teen and should not be played by kids. There's murder, gambling, drinking, drugs, sexual affairs and lots of swearing. One word sums up the plot of this game: Greed. 1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Adventure Europe (Jun 22, 2005)
It cannot be compared to the latest adventure games of our time, but it is a nice first try. We want to believe that the second part of the game will have logical riddles, better graphics and fewer bugs.
Interesting blend of detective and sci-fi genres, full-range 3D movement, and fairly good music -- but with obscure puzzles and object-hunting ...
Adventure Gamers (Oct 30, 2003)
I’m going to say a phrase and I want you to observe the first thought that pops into your head: Full Motion Video. Some of you just curled up into a fetal position on the floor with your thumbs in your mouths, and others of you are just wondering why it took so long for another one to hit the shelves. The history of FMV adventure games is not a pretty one, and it seemed for a while like there were ten bad ones for every good one. Conspiracies is one of the good ones, but it also shows that even years down the line, the limitations of FMV are still present.
Despite the frustrating puzzles and dated graphics, I love the live action filming and the new noir setting in Conspiracies. It may be true that the campy acting can be annoying and that the convoluted storyline can be difficult to follow at times. In the end, however, Conspiracies is a decent FMV adventure game that shows a lot of promise for a series.
GameZone (Dec 15, 2003)
When you think of the FMV interactive movie adventure genre several titles should come to mind. Most notably several games in particular stand the test of time as classics. The Tex Murphy series was one of the best, especially The Pandora Directive. The story and pacing had dramatic flare. The 3D Graphics engine was gritty and really helped to create a realistic world. An accomplished cast lent their talents and made the characters believable and memorable. The Black Dahlia was another FMV with incredible production values and it featured Terri Garr and Dennis Hopper. The story was creepy and the movies were astounding, but the game elements were insanely frustrating. Even Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within, as silly as some portions were managed to attract attention from a large audience.
Game Chronicles (Nov 05, 2003)
Set in the year 2063, Conspiracies casts the player in the role of Nick Delios, a down and out private investigator whose propensity for gambling and fast living have finally caught up to him. When outstanding financial debt forces Nick to take a job from his old nemesis, corporate head Dimitris Argiriou, a routine investigation plunges Nick into a web of intrigue and mystery played out upon the stage of bleak 21st century future. Such a story bodes quite well for mystery adventure lovers, but unfortunately as we’ll soon see the techno-noir odyssey of Nick Delios turns out to be more akin to Sam Spoof than Sam Spade.
Game Over Online (Oct 23, 2003)
And so Conspiracies is one of those games that is just so bad you should never play it, even if somebody gives it to you for free. And yet, if you go to Got Game Entertainment’s web site, you’ll find six positive quotes about the game, from five different web sites! I realize that no matter what the object is, somebody is going to like it and somebody is going to hate it, but I'm shocked there are five people in the world who think Conspiracies is a good purchase.
Worth Playing (Dec 04, 2003)
I get the feeling diehard adventure game fans; especially those who enjoyed the Tex Murphy games wouldn't mind giving Conspiracies a go through. Everyone else should probably stay away for his or her own good.
Przygodoskop (Mar 15, 2007)
The low-res, full-motion-video cut-scenes are as amateurish as the 3D, and the lip synching from the game’s original Greek is poor. Additionally, when viewing NPC from a distance, they look ridiculously like cardboard cutouts pasted into the scenes. Although the vocally overdubbed actors try to give decent performances, Conspiracies’ overall quality is so much like a B movie that you’ll be surprised no killer tomatoes ever atack—and you just might be praying that they do.
