Curling 2006
Description
Curling 2006 is a seldom seen simulation of the tactical sport Curling which is also part of the Olympic Winter Games. The basic premise: a stone is at the end of a long rink. One player at a time stands at the opposite part of the rink and sends another stone on its way. The goal is to come as close as possible to the original stone without touching it. When a stone is played it is not allowed to touch him again but the other team members use brushes on the ice to influence its path. Every team member delivers two stones per game.
The game focuses on a exact simulation of the game's physics and moves. The player takes the part of the skip who is responsible for the tactics. This means the player sets the throwing parameters (direction, speed, spin and special maneuvers). When the stone is on its way he regulates the sweeping with three power levels. Another tactical component comes into play because every team member has different stats which influence their performance, So the player has to think about in which order he uses them. Playing modes are single matches, training and championship.
