Das große Sarah Wiener Kochspiel

In this cooking game you will start as an apprentice in a new restaurant of Sarah Wiener, an Austrian TV cook and author of several cooking books. During the course of the game - and provided you don't make too many mistakes - you will play the role of all the various cooks up to serving a special meal as the head cook of the restaurant.

In each position you will have to cook several recipes, all of them taken from Sarah Wiener's cooking books. In the beginning you can read the recipe (which can also be used for cooking the dish in real life); you will then get a virtual kitchen prepared with the required raw ingredients and a selection of tools like a knife, pots or a rasp needed for this recipe. Most of the ingredients will have to be prepared, e.g. by washing, cutting or rasping them, then use the pots and plates to mix them together, fry them or decorate them. A popup dialog will tell you some basics facts about the ingredient or item and a hint on what to do with it next. When in doubt you can always have another look at the recipe.

A lot of actions like cutting, mixing or pureeing things will trigger a minigame where you have to imitate the movement you would do in real life - for example cutting a cucumber will require moving the mouse up and down over a certain line repeatedly, other possible movements are moving the mouse left / right or in circles. These minigames are time-constrained and will decrease the dexterity score when not executed fast enough. When making mistakes (e.g. using unwashed vegetables, mixing ingredients at the wrong time or using the wrong tools) will decrease your culinary skill - and when you made too many mistakes the session will be cancelled.

When completing a meal you will get a real photograph as a reward and nutrition information about the ingredients.
