Play it with care and attention, and this is another six hours or so of Dishonored for a mere £8. In short, this is the DLC I've been waiting for since October of last year.

The Knife of Dunwall will please any Dishonored fan. Although playing as Daud might seem a strange choice, his complex life lends itself to an interesting narrative. This interesting narrative offers new insights into the city of Dunwall and one of the original game’s most unsympathetic characters. I highly recommend The Knife of Dunwall to anyone who enjoyed Dishonored.
3D Juegos (Apr 17, 2013)
Gamer Limit (Apr 18, 2013)
Despite the two-part approach, Knife of Dunwall is DLC done right. It takes the core fundamentals from the original game without sacrificing the integrity of it and provides its own spin on the formula. Honestly, at this point I wish Daud was the main character of Dishonored to begin with. If you even slightly enjoyed Dishonored, this is a no-brainer.
AusGamers (Apr 19, 2013)
The Knife of Dunwall is actually only the first half of the downloadable campaign planned for Dishonored, and damn does the missing half stand out. Things end abruptly on a rather half-hearted twist, and your powers remain fairly basic unless you’ve spent a great deal of time hunting for runes. We imagine there’s some financial reasoning behind why the content wasn’t simply worked to completion and all released at once, but we weren’t quite ready to stop once the credits rolled.

The Knife of Dunwall is a superb addition to Dishonored. Playing it deepened my appreciation for its accomplishments and left me looking forward to what other stories Arkane will explore in this series. Daud’s story may be nearing its end, but Dunwall and Arkane seem like they have many more to tell.

The Knife of Dunwall bestens aufgehoben.
IGN (Apr 17, 2013)
The Knife of Dunwall is satisfying to play, but fails to build much momentum in its story. I’m intensely curious to see where Arkane takes Daud's tale from here, as it certainly has the makings of an interesting story. So far, however, it's all set-up and no punchline. Even so, it’s great to be back in Dunwall, immersed in one of the most well-realised worlds in modern gaming.

GameStar (Germany) (May, 2013)
Davon abgesehen bleibt in The Knife of Dunwall alles beim Alten.
