Flight deck III is an add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 .

It makes the following aircraft available, the F-14 Tomcat, F-18 Hornet, E-2C Hawkeye, CH-46 Sea Knight, AV-8B II Harrier, S-3 Viking. Additionally this title also delivers a model of the aircraft carrier the USS George Washington CVN 73 which is complete with a landable surface, night textures, pop-up blast shields, navigation aids, and deck personnel. It also emulates the Fresnel Lens Optical Landing System (FLOLS) albeit within the limitations of the host simulator's capabilities.

The USS George Washington is located in 4 different locations in Flight Sim, the Gulf of Mexico, the Bay of Biscay, the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Japan and the package comes with prepared take-off and landings in different weather conditions. The carrier HMNZS Waikato is also present, this ship does not have FLOLS.

The package also installs the utility ArrestorCables (ArrCab) Version 2.5. This must be present, running in the background, while the flight simulator is in use, it has a number of uses but as used here it enables the carriers steam catapult launch and arrestor cable landings.
