This installation screen pops up when the DVD is recognised.

The installation process requires STEAM even though it installs from the disc

Once installed the game is played via STEAM. There are over 100 achievements in this game

The title page follows a series of company logos and 'play fair' messages. The game can be played in either full screen mode or in a window as shown here

The game has two modes of play 'Football manager' and 'Football Manager Classic'. Both modes use this menu

There are in-game tutorials.

There's an option on the main menu to access the game's on-line manual. In 2018 this is no longer available, only the manuals for FM 2017 & FM2018 are present

The main menu has a STORE option through which additional add-on features can be purchased. Some of these can be unlocked as the player progresses through the game

Starting a new career in the 2013 mode There are so many countries to play in. The Classic mode was limited to just three countries whereas this mode is 'technically' unlimited
