If you’ve been looking for a flight combat sim that truly captures the essence of blowing things up, then you’re in for a treat. Heroes of the Pacific is an extremely Arcady, historical WWII fighter with enough planes and amazing explosions than Pearl Harbor alone. If you like flying combat and extremely diverse gameplay, then become a hero to yourself and buy this game.

Heroes of the Pacific isn't perfect, but it's damn fun. And in my opinion, IR Gurus' game just gets better and better the more you play it.

It's a real shame Heroes of the Pacific doesn't include a proper save system and better balancing. Richer multiplayer and instant action modes would be nice, too. Otherwise, this is an addictive air combat game that hits all the right notes: daring, adventure, and non-stop action.

Just don’t expect a smooth flight, as Heroes may be too tough for some casual gamers. You often find yourself frantically trying to shoot down a sky full of bogies that swarm around you like starving mosquitoes in the middle of a swamp—and the mission suddenly ends because the enemy killed a certain number of friendly assets. Nevertheless, the addictive gameplay is a sign of quality; even after you curse the game for how unfair its missions are, the variety and atmosphere still compel you to hit Restart and give it just one more try.

While the online mode is a little too standard for its own good, the game's campaign is compelling, and the game plays well overall. Some flight-combat buffs will probably dislike the game's loose style, but people who aren't necessarily looking for a pitch-perfect flight simulation of the conflict will probably enjoy Heroes of the Pacific.

Heroes of the Pacific is a WW2 action flightsim, that lets you experience key battles, such as the attack on Pearl Harbour or the Battle of Midway. You can choose over fifteen aircraft to shoot the Japanese naval air force to kingdom come. At least, that's the concept of the game.
