Description

Hex is one of a package of games produced by The Code Zone. Games from this package were used, in various combinations, in around twenty different game compilation packages.

Hex is a single player, strategy game that is played against the computer on hexagonal grid, called a wall within the game. The wall's default size is 7 x 7 but the game configuration allows the player to select other sizes from 5 x 5 to 9 x 9. This is a turn-based game with the player trying to connect the top and bottom edges before the computer connects the two sides. The winning player is the one who makes their connection first.

The game is entirely mouse controlled. It is played in a window which cannot be re-sized. The game has sound, four levels of difficulty, in-game help screens, and a choice of playing piece, colour and screen background.
