Hold me closer, Giant Dancer is a 2D-demake of the PlayStation 2 game Shadow of the Colossus for the TRS-80 Model III. The player controls two red pixels called "guy," and they have to climb giant monsters standing around in the landscape.

To do so, the player can jump along the outer pixels of the monster sprite. Parts of the monster which are coloured in green can be grabbed by guy for a limited time. To bring a monster down, the player has to stab their sword into several marks spread all over the monster's body. After defeating one monster, the player journeys on to the next one. There are a total of six bosses to defeat. Players can also design their own bosses in an external image editing application and then include them in the game.
