Hello.

So someone uploaded on The Cutting Room Floor uploaded screenshot with unused credits sequence: https://tcrf.net/Hot_Wheels_Stunt_Track_Driver_(Windows)#Unused_Credits

My question is - is such info valid for being submitted as credits for the game, or should the game remain without list of credits?

I'd say that would have to be verified; the developer listed in the image does not match what we have listed (Lucky Chicken Games), however the next game in the series does belong to 'Semilogic Entertainment', though our credits for the 2nd game comes from the paper manual, and does not exactly match the screenshot in the link - it is pretty normal that the paper manual & ingame credits differ somewhat.

In your link, it is claimed that the source image is found on the Windows game CD as a CREDITS.PCX file, so it should be possible to verify if it belongs to the first (or second) game in the Hot Wheels series, if one has the CD available.

On the other hand, looking at the archived pages of the 'Lucky Chicken' developer site, I only see them listing the GBC version of this game as their release. None of the covers mention 'Lucky Chicken' nor 'Semilogic Entertainment' so perhaps the developer was incorrectly set from the start? The Semilogic developer website does not want to work properly for me, so what they say about it is unclear so far.

After looking at several online sources, it seems we have the wrong developer listed, it should be the Semilogic Entertainment developer for the PC release in 1998, and Lucky Chicken only made the GBC version in 2000. Actual 'proof' in the form we want requires some physical copy of the game I think...there are of course various ISO:s online, but I don't think those are acceptable.

I did see a 1998 PC paper manual being sold on its own here:

and a couple of boxed versions (one with a car bundled) here:

Thanks. So I guess what can I do for now is to try to change the developer of the game here? I don't have physical copy of the game and as you said, maybe it's not a good idea to rely on any online ISO images like available there: https://archive.org/search.php?query=hot%20wheels%20stunt%20track%20driver

On the other hand, I have no plan to buy physical copy. I'm not sure if anyone wants to spend money just to verify that... Maybe there's someone in community that owns a copy of it? Asking on Discord server might be useful.

So if we would like to change this "status quo" here, the fastest/easiest/cheapest way is to download such ISO from archive.org, check the files and maybe trigger the credits (using very manual steps like replacing these PCX files) + record & upload it on YT additionally. Maybe it makes sense to ask Sciere or someone else from "admin group" too about "proceeding" here.

LGR confirms it was developed by Semilogic.

The Game Boy version was the one that was developed by Lucky Chicken.

Ok, I've submitted a correction for the developer company.
