I really wanted to like this

The Good
I like the idea of 3D puzzles. Playing them on the computer is almost perfect because no bits can get lost.

The idea that you assemble the model of the Kremlin inside one of the rooms of the Kremlin is novel, I liked that - well I did at the beginning, see below

The Bad
I really wanted to like this game but in the end I felt disappointed. In a 'good' game the controls are intuitive and you don't notice them, in a 'not so good' game you feel you're having to jump through hoops as you try to achieve your goals
The initial screen that showed the controls had me a bit worried, surely all I had to do was find a piece, rotate it, and place it. Why were there so many controls? I think it's all to do with being able to freely position the player's camera or point of view anywhere within the building.
In the end I found it hard to judge where one piece was in relation to another and though I got the tower built, on the easy setting, I did't feel motivated to attempt the harder setting where the pieces are smaller. Though I liked the idea of assembling one building inside another I soon found the building to be a distraction - perhaps the inside view could have been a reward for a successful completion

The Bottom Line
A nice idea hampered by slightly cumbersome controls

It's not fair to criticize a game that's twelve or thirteen years old for its looks but the graphics do feel 'low res'. This is a shame because I feel that that a lot of effort went into them and at the time it was released it would have looked quite good.
