Mea Culpa is the second piece of DLC released for Magicka and it integrates seamlessly with the game. It was provided for free along with patch 11. As the title suggests, it's the developer's way of saying sorry for the initial state it was released in, even though there were many patches to resolve issues. A song called The Gamer and Magicka was also released to celebrate the DLC. It contains:
  • Bugged Staff - summons a swarm of bugs
  • A Broken Sword - new melee weapon
  • Patched Robe - new costume
  • Crash to Desktop - new Magick
All items have tongue-in-cheek names that refer to the game's initial state. The new Magick for instance zaps away friends of foes in a certain radius, and quickly flashes a blue screen of death above the character before it disappears.
