ProFlight 98 is a must have for anyone interested in getting the true feeling of civilian flight. This is a welcome package that truly enhances FS98. The adventure flight planner is good and there is talk of it being patched to work with some of the other flight planners out there. The FMC is a nice addition to help you in you flights and the ATC is absolutely the best. I ran into no problems with the program and there are a few fixes on the AETI web page for those that do. The voices sound very good and the scripts sound like the real thing. There are patches in the works and other modules to improve on the geographic ATC. So if your in Dallas you will hear American Airlines more or Hawaiian Airlines if flying in Hawaii. The company is definitely dedicated to enhancing an already good product. So if your into FS98 and want a bit more realism, go get ProFlight 98, you won't regret it! (Mar 28, 1999)
I have not even broke the ice reviewing this program, it is too big, too many options to use, to many other things I have obviously not mentioned, and therefore I cannot give it's pro's or con's or percentage of how good this is. Read the review over again and from my experiences, you should know yourself by what I have written, if this is a good program worth purchasing or not.

This piece of software is a very worthwhile investment and a must have for anyone who flies in the system. This is even good practice for real IFR pilots to keep up their cockpit communication skills. I experienced no glitches with the software and everything worked as advertised. Some further information on the addition of custom modules is desireable.

So...what's the bottom line on ProFlight 98? I highly recommend it. Buy it. And FS98 will never be the'll be flying with voice ATC with many variables, you'll get a great FMC to pilot those heavies over the long haul distances, and you'll have a ton of fun. My guess is that we'll see folks publish their adventure plans too. We're already seeing some folks creating their own voice modules the voices will never get repetitious and stale.
