What can I say that I haven't already said? It is real hard to determine if Space Tripper or Mutant Storm is the better of the two Pom Pom games. My personal feeling is that as good as Mutant Storm is with its nearly endless replay value, Space Tripper might be even better with fun maps to explore and excitement around every corner!

Grywalnosc wciaga, grafika zachwyca, muzyki chce sie sluchac. Gra jest bardzo dynamiczna i efektowna.
Retro Gamer (Mar, 2005)
If you hanker after the classic days of simple-but-addictive shooters and your trigger finger still itches, then Space Tripper is for you.
Gamezilla (Apr 12, 2001)
SpaceTripper takes graphics common to modern games and gameplay ideas inspired by the classic coin-op video games and creates a welcome entry into the PC arcade game genre. Worthy of a look. SpaceTripper even intrigued one of the younger set around here who actually hadn't been exposed to a nearly total abstract game where there is no character (licensed or otherwise). And since there's no depicted anti-social violence, SpaceTripper is appropriate for exposure to children. Maybe game makers will take a cue and add more entries like it.

Besides being a little short, I would have enjoyed the levels being a bit bigger, and perhaps some more use of the 3D opportunities. Besides falling off the edge of “the world” the 3D was mainly for looks. However, these compact levels are full of frantic action, so to that extent, PomPom has succeeded glowingly in creating what they set out to do.

Despite its simplicity, Space Tripper is a tough little mother of a game. Think of a cross between R-Type and Defender, with some superb visuals and an eye for pixel perfection. You can actually find the demo for the game on our May CD and you can unlock the full game by logging onto the PomPom website and paying for code. It's nothing new, but if you're into retro games you shouldn't miss it - a solid game at a reasonable price... what's the world coming to?
PC Games (Germany) (Oct 15, 2001)
GameGenie (2001)
Space Tripper definitely leans more toward style than substance. The beautiful graphics are just surrounded by a game that's been done many times before. The trifle number of levels coupled with the substandard sound almost offsets the graphics and standard gameplay. However, if you are a fan of simple arcade shooters, you can spare the low cost for Space Tripper.
