The menu in Arcade mode

Each race begins with a rolling start.

Racing

After the race, you can watch it again using different cameras.

Simulation mode features a lot more options, such as kart tuning.

Notice the more complex speedometer with RPMs and engine temperature.

There are a lot of roadside objects.

Notice the crooked wheels. Damage affects the already hard maneuverability doing turns.

The instructor shows the best paths and how to control speed in corners - if you're going to hit him, then you're going too fast.
