Indie Game Magazine (Mar 20, 2012)
You’ll appreciate the game’s subtle changes through progression as they slowly chisel you into a better player, and you’ll enjoy going back over levels and realising how much better you have got. You’ll really love finding hidden levels and the oddities of the bonus levels. It’s a game that comes easily recommended to just about everyone, and one that you’ll come back to again and again, if just to sway along to the sublime soundtrack and calming visuals.

Taking into consideration all the content you're getting here, plus the various endless modes to play through and the online leaderboards, it's very difficult not to shout the name Waveform from the rooftops. It's a brilliant concept, well executed, stylish, bold, and perhaps most importantly, brimming with personality. Miss this at your peril.
Indius (Apr 21, 2012)
Calm Down Tom (Mar 15, 2012)
Overall I enjoyed this game quite a bit. It’s a lot different from what I usually play and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a soothing game to play while you take a break from more stressful gaming experiences (like defeating the Reapers). While it may not be for everyone, the game is great fun to play and offers quite a few hours of enjoyment for a decent price.
VentureBeat / Gamesbeat (Mar 20, 2012)
For now, Waveform is being offered on Steam for $6.99 (discounted to $5.99 for the first week) and is a welcome addition to the digital distribution service’s growing roster of indie games. Its colorful visuals and retro-symphonic soundtrack are easy on the eyes and ears, while its minimalistic design ensures gamers of all skill levels can immediately jump in and enjoy saving the galaxy.
